Tips & Tricks

For a successful and precise fit we need optimum models.
Basically this means that
  • the preparation margin must be clearly ditched,
  • stumps must not be varnished. Please block out only in cases of undercuts or larger defects,
  • stumps or dies must not be coated with superglue or varnish,
  • the length of the stump or die is not more than 12.5mm,
  • the length of bridge is shorter than 48mm,
  • a wax up is always preferred,
  • a wax up does not have to be modelled with a final margin.
  • (We will be happy to show you a simple procedure.),
  • the colour or shade of the tooth is included in the information you send us.
Individual crowns

A single stump or die will do. We recommend sending in the complete saw-cut model to build an optimal framework.
A bite impression with a counter bite-impression helps us to model the framework more exactly.

Bridges

The saw-cut model with impression and counter-impression is best.
A bite impression with counter bite impression is needed to make the modulation supporting the ceramic.
All segments of the saw-cut model must be easy to reposition.
All abutments posts have to be measured and should have an angle of at least 4°!

Implant abutments

Please grind in a clear circumferential step or chamfer for rotation security
Please do not forget the analogue model and titanium setup!

Saw-cut model

All saw-cut elements must be easy to remove and reposition.

Processing

Tips for processing
  • Use only a water-cooled turbine for proper processing.
  • Very small areas can be carefully dried and worked with a fine diamond.
  • Connecting parts of bridges must never be reduced.
  • The calculation of the profile or lateral cut is designed with stability in mind.
  • After working, finish off the area to be veneered with a rubber wheel (Shofu)
  • Do not blast!
